Bernhard Hoëcker

Bernhard Hoëcker, whose proper name is Bernhard Hoecker-von Mühlenfels, is a German comedian, actor, and television presenter. Born on March 20, 1970, he is widely recognized for his work on German television. He is best known for his appearance on the spoof show Switch, as well as for serving as a permanent team member on the guessing show Genial Daneben from 2003 to 2011.

Hoëcker spent his early childhood in Frankfurt before moving to Bonn with his family at the age of ten. He completed his secondary education and earned his Abitur at the Clara-Schumann-Gymnasium. Between 1993 and 1996, he attended the University of Bonn, where he studied economics up to the intermediate diploma level, known as a Vordiplom, before deciding to discontinue his studies.

Following his time at the university, Hoëcker established a career in German broadcasting. He has worked consistently as a comedian and actor across various television projects and networks. Over the course of his career, he built a strong public profile through his featured roles in comedic programming and long-running panel shows.

In addition to his professional achievements on television, Hoëcker engages in geocaching during his free time. Public reports have noted that he lives in Bonn with his wife, Eva von Mühlenfels, and their two daughters. However, during an appearance on the program Missverstehen Sie mich richtig, Hoëcker stated that this public summary regarding his family and living situation is not correct, though he did not clarify which specific detail was inaccurate.
