Arabella Kiesbauer

Cosima Arabella-Asereba Kiesbauer, known professionally as Arabella Kiesbauer, is a German-Austrian television presenter, writer, and actress born on 8 April 1969. She is the daughter of Hannelore Kiesbauer, a German theater actress, and Sammy Ammissah, a Ghanaian engineer. Following her parents' separation, she was raised in Vienna by her grandmother.

Kiesbauer began her career in media as a presenter for the Austrian public service television broadcaster ORF while she was pursuing studies in journalism and dramaturgy. She later expanded her broadcasting career into Germany.

From 1994 to 2004, Kiesbauer hosted her own daily talk show, titled Arabella, on the German television channel Pro7. On 17 January 2006, she began hosting a weekly late-night talk show called Talk ohne Show on the Berlin-based television station N24 TV. She resigned after 40 episodes, citing the strain that frequent travel between Vienna and Berlin placed on her private life.

Throughout her career, Kiesbauer has taken on various high-profile hosting duties and public roles. On 17 December 2007, she co-hosted the 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year awards at the Zürich Opera House alongside Rainer Maria Salzgeber. Later, on 23 May 2015, she hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna alongside Mirjam Weichselbraun and Alice Tumler. Outside of television hosting, she has worked as a model and served as a fashion ambassador for the shoe company Vögele Shoes, and she appeared on the cover and across 14 pages of the German edition of Playboy in July 1995.

Kiesbauer has received industry recognition for her television broadcast work. In 1994, she won the Bavarian TV Award in the category of Beste Talk-Newcomerin. She was subsequently honored with the media award Das Goldene Kabel in 1996.

In her personal life, Kiesbauer was targeted by a letter bomb sent by racist terrorist Franz Fuchs to the Pro7 studios on 9 June 1995. She did not open the parcel; instead, her assistant opened it and was injured by the explosion. Kiesbauer married Viennese businessman Florens Eblinger in November 2004. The couple has two children: a daughter named Nika, born on 2 December 2007 in Vienna, and a son named Neo, born on 19 December 2010.
