Ana Brenda Contreras

Ana Brenda Contreras Pérez, also known as Ana Breco, is a Mexican actress, singer, model, and businesswoman. She is widely recognized for her roles in various television series, musical productions, and feature films across Mexico and the United States.

Contreras was born on December 24, 1986, in McAllen, Texas, to Mexican parents Blanca Pérez and Efrain Contreras Puente. She grew up in Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, and speaks both English and Spanish. At age 15 in 2002, she moved to Mexico City to participate in the reality show Pop Stars, where she became a finalist and a member of the musical group T'detila, which released a self-titled album. In 2003, she enrolled in acting classes at Televisa's Centro de Educación Artística (CEA) in Mexico City.

Contreras made her television acting debut in 2005 playing Juanita Sánchez in the telenovela Barrera de amor. In 2006, she participated in a production of Grease and appeared as Claudia in the telenovela Duelo de Pasiones. She made her feature film debut in the 2008 movie Divina Confusión, directed by Salvador Garcini. Between 2008 and 2009, she starred as Violeta Madrigal in Juro que te amo, followed by her role as Maura Albarrán in Sortilegio in 2009. That same year, she appeared in an episode of Mujeres asesinas and had a special participation in the series Tiempo final.

From 2010 to 2011, Contreras played Aurora Alcázar in the telenovela Teresa and performed as Carol in the musical Timbiriche. She subsequently starred as Ana Paula Carmona in La que no podía amar from 2011 to 2012. In 2013, she played Maricruz Olivarez in the internationally successful telenovela Corazón indomable, a remake of Marimar.

Her career expanded with further film and television projects, including the 2014 film Volando bajo, directed by Beto Gómez, and hosting the Premios Juventud that same year. In 2015, she starred as Verónica Prado Castelo in Lo imperdonable and sang its theme song, "Como perdonar," for the soundtrack. She also starred in the movie Tunnel 19 in 2015, played Goyita Vera in Blue Demon in 2016, and portrayed Alejandra Ponce in Por amar sin ley in 2018.

From 2018 to 2019, Contreras landed her first English-language role starring as Cristal Jennings in the second season of The CW's prime time soap opera reboot Dynasty. Currently, she divides her time living between Mexico City and Los Angeles as she continues her career as an actress.
