Altair Jarabo

Altaír Jarabo García, born August 7, 1986, in Mexico City, Mexico, is a Mexican-Venezuelan actress and fashion model. She is best known for her antagonistic roles in Mexican telenovelas. She has a brother named Jorge Jarabo Garcia.

Jarabo began her career as a fashion model in Mexico before making her television acting debut in 1993 in the telenovela El peñón del amaranto as Amaranta. In 2002, she appeared in Súbete a mi moto alongside Vanessa Acosta and Sandra Echeverría.

She gained widespread international recognition in 2004 by portraying Isela in the telenovela Inocente de ti, starring Camila Sodi and Valentino Lanús. She followed this performance with a role as Vanessa in El amor no tiene precio in 2005, and portrayed Afrodita Carvajal in the teenage telenovela Código Postal in 2006. In 2007, she appeared in both Lola, érase una vez and Al diablo con los guapos.

In 2008, Jarabo secured a major role as Romina Mondragón in En nombre del amor, working alongside Allisson Lozz and Sebastián Zurita. Over the next few years, she joined the casts of Mi pecado in 2009 and Llena de amor in 2010.

Jarabo took on another prominent role in 2012 as Florencia Landucci, an Italian boarding-school student, in Abismo de pasión. In 2013, she played Raquel Ledesma in the Rosy Ocampo production Mentir para vivir. She went on to play the antagonist Diana Montero in the 2015 production Que te perdone Dios, produced by Angelli Nesma Medina.

Her later television work includes co-starring in the José Alberto Castro production Pasión y poder. In 2018, she joined the ensemble cast of the legal drama Por amar sin ley, playing Victoria Escalante, one of the key lawyers at the Vega y Asociados law firm. Her telenovela credits also include Vencer el desamor and Corazón guerrero.
