Tinsley Mortimer

Tinsley Randolph Mortimer (née Mercer) is an American socialite, television personality, and fashion designer. Born in Richmond, Virginia, she grew up at her family's estate, Graymont. She attended St. Catherine's School and the Lawrenceville School, where she was presented to Richmond society during the Bal du Bois at the Country Club of Virginia. A former nationally ranked tennis player, she played varsity tennis at Columbia University, graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in art history before earning a master's degree in decorative arts from the Cooper Hewitt design museum.

Early in her career, Mortimer worked as a beauty assistant at Vogue and an event planner for Harrison & Shriftman. She later expanded into fashion design, debuting her handbag line, "Samantha Thavasa by Tinsley Mortimer," in 2006, followed by her exclusive Japanese clothing line, Riccime by Tinsley Mortimer. She also served as Christian Dior's beauty ambassador, creating a lip gloss named Tinsley Pink, and has appeared on covers and editorials for numerous publications, including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vestal, and Page Six Magazine.

Mortimer entered television with a cameo on Gossip Girl in 2008, and in 2010, she starred in her own reality television series, High Society. She later joined the cast of Bravo's reality series The Real Housewives of New York City in 2017 for its ninth season. Outside of television, she authored the 2013 novel Southern Charm, contributed a chapter to The Park Avenue Diet, and became a contributor for Town & Country magazine in 2017.

Her business ventures also include home goods and beauty lines. In 2014, she launched a home goods collection manufactured by Pop Culture Living, sold through retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Wayfair. She later collaborated with Winky Lux in 2019 to release a false eyelash collection, walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for Garo Sparo, and partnered with RuMe on a travel, fashion, and beauty accessory collection. In 2020, she appeared in a pro-adoption campaign for PETA advocating for shelter dog adoption.
