Slick Woods

Simone Marie Thompson, professionally known as Slick Woods, is an American fashion model. Born on August 13, 1996, she is widely recognized for her signature look, which includes a bald head, gapped teeth, and tattoos. She is associated with the social media modeling or Instagirl movement due to her large online following, which reaches into the six-figure range.

Thompson was raised in Los Angeles, California, primarily by her grandmother after her mother was incarcerated when she was four years old; her mother was later released in February 2019. The nickname Slick Woods was given to her by her friends. In a television appearance, she noted that she experienced homelessness for a period of twelve years.

Her entry into fashion began when she was discovered by model Ash Stymest, with musician and designer Kanye West also credited with helping launch her career. She subsequently rose to prominence through high-profile modeling engagements, eventually earning a spot on the Top 50 Models list on models.com by February 2018.

Throughout her modeling career, Woods has walked in runway shows for prominent brands such as Yeezy, Fenty x Puma, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Jeremy Scott, and Fendi. Her advertising work includes campaigns for Calvin Klein, Moschino, and Urban Outfitters. In September 2017, she was named one of the faces of Rihanna's cosmetics line, Fenty Beauty. She also appeared in the 2018 Pirelli calendar alongside prominent figures including Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong'o, and Diddy.

Beyond print and runway modeling, Woods expanded into acting and television. She made her feature film debut starring in the 2020 movie Goldie after being introduced to director Sam de Jong by a casting director who had previously scouted her in 2016. Her performance in the leading role received critical praise. She has also appeared on television, including a role on the sixth season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and a co-hosting appearance on Catfish: The TV Show.

In her personal life, Woods is openly bisexual. She gave birth to a son with model Adonis Bosso in September 2018, shortly after walking in Rihanna's SavagexFenty fashion show. In November 2019, Woods publicly shared that she was receiving chemotherapy treatment for stage 3 melanoma.
