Selena Forrest

Selena Forrest is an American fashion model born on April 29, 1999. She gained prominent recognition within the fashion industry, earning a spot on Models.com's Top 50 models list by 2017.

Forrest was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. Following Hurricane Katrina, she relocated to California with her family. During her youth, she attended several different schools as her family moved through various locations, including San Pedro, Long Beach, and finally Riverside.

Her modeling career began after she was discovered in Huntington Beach in 2015. To secure her first job and launch her career, Forrest manually removed her own braces. A few months after her discovery, she signed with the agency Next Models and made her official runway debut in 2016 as an exclusive for Proenza Schouler.

Following her debut, Forrest accumulated extensive runway experience, walking for major fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen, Céline, Chanel, Fendi, Kenzo, Oscar de la Renta, Roberto Cavalli, Tom Ford, Vera Wang, and Versace, as well as closing a show for Emilio Pucci. In addition to runway work, she appeared in advertising campaigns for brands including Yves Saint Laurent, Proenza Schouler, Calvin Klein, Prada, Dior, Valentino, Fenty Beauty, Topshop, DKNY, H&M, and Adidas.

Forrest has also been featured on notable publication covers. She appeared as the cover model for the "Futurewise" issue of i-D magazine and was featured twice on the cover of T, The New York Times style magazine.

Beyond her modeling projects, Forrest has publicly addressed issues of racial equity within fashion. She has voiced critiques regarding the underrepresentation of models of color in designer casting, as well as the industry's shortage of stylists equipped to properly care for Black women's hair. In personal interviews, she has also spoken openly about her sexuality, describing her attraction to people without strictly categorizing her identity.
