Sam Sulek

Samuel Bishop Sulek, born February 7, 2002, is an American YouTuber, fitness influencer, and IFBB Pro League bodybuilder. He gained prominent public attention in 2023 through his online workout content, notably his "Spring Bulk" video series on YouTube. Over the course of his social media career, he became widely recognized in the fitness community for his heavy lifting, distinct physique, and simple video presentation style.

Raised in Ohio, Sulek attended Rutherford B. Hayes High School in Delaware, Ohio, where he began competing in diving during the summer before his junior year. In 2020, he entered Miami University, becoming a member of the institution's diving team. As of 2023, he was studying mechanical engineering at the university while simultaneously building his online presence.

Sulek began publishing videos documenting his gym visits in January 2023. Through 2024, his video uploads followed a standardized structure: he recorded himself speaking inside his vehicle while driving to the gym, documented his workout routine, and concluded with additional commentary in his car on the return drive. By 2024, Sulek accumulated more than three million subscribers on YouTube and over 5.7 million followers on Instagram. His lo-fi content strategy, plainspoken personality, and relatability drew commentary from various media outlets, including The New York Times, The Guardian, Generation Iron, and The Miami Student, as well as praise from bodybuilder Chris Bumstead.

Alongside his rapid online growth, Sulek became the subject of public discussion regarding anabolic steroid use, which was commented on by figures including podcaster Joe Rogan and bodybuilder Víctor Martínez. A reporter for The Guardian noted in 2024 that Sulek was frequently cited by young steroid users. In April 2024, Sulek acknowledged the topic in a video upload, subtly confirming his use of steroids by stating that it should be obvious to his audience.

Sulek entered competitive bodybuilding in February 2025 when he announced his participation in the NPC Legends Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada. Competing in the Classic Physique division, he placed first overall in his competitive debut, which earned him a qualification for the 2025 NPC Arnold Amateur in Columbus, Ohio. At the Arnold Amateur, Sulek won the Classic Physique Overall title and secured his IFBB pro card, officially transitioning to professional status.

As a professional bodybuilder, Sulek made his IFBB Pro League debut at the 2026 IFBB Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio, where he placed eighth in the Classic Physique division, finishing outside the top six. Later that same month, he traveled to Birmingham, England, to compete in the 2026 IFBB Arnold Classic UK, finishing in seventh place out of nine competitors.
