Paolla Oliveira

Caroline Paola Oliveira da Silva, known professionally as Paolla Oliveira, is a Brazilian actress. Born on April 14, 1982, in São Paulo, she is of Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish descent. Her mother is a housewife and her father is a retired military policeman. She began working as a model at the age of 16. She pursued higher education at Cruzeiro do Sul University, graduating in physiotherapy while simultaneously studying performing arts before transitioning into an acting career.

After appearing in numerous television commercials, Oliveira made her telenovela debut in 2004 on TV Record's Metamorphoses. The following year, she joined the cast of TV Globo's Belíssima as Giovana. Her popularity in Belíssima led to her being cast in her first lead role as Sônia in the 2005 production O Profeta.

Oliveira continued building her television career with a role as Renata in the 2007 TV Globo end-of-year special Os Amadores. In March 2008, she was hired to portray Letícia, a 1950s tennis player inspired by Brazilian athlete Maria Esther Bueno, in the telenovela Ciranda de Pedra. That same year, she starred in the feature film Entre Lençóis, which began filming in May 2008 and was released on December 5, 2008.

In addition to her acting roles, Oliveira competed in the sixth season of Dança dos Famosos, the Brazilian version of Dancing with the Stars. On June 28, 2009, she won the competition alongside her dance partner, Átila Amaral.

Over the following decade, Oliveira headlined several prominent television series. She played the lead role of Marina in Insensato Coração in 2011 and starred as Paloma in the 2013 Rede Globo telenovela Amor à Vida. In 2015, she portrayed the antagonist Melissa in Além do Tempo. She subsequently starred as the protagonist Jeiza, a police officer, alongside Marco Pigossi in the 2017 telenovela A Força do Querer.
