NiKo

Nikola Kovač, known professionally as NiKo, is a Bosnian professional Counter-Strike 2 player currently competing for Team Falcons. Recognized by analysts and fellow competitors as one of the premier riflers and most mechanically skilled individuals in Counter-Strike history, he has consistently performed at the top level of the game. Over his career, he has appeared on HLTV's annual list of the top 20 players ten times, establishing a record for the most top-20 appearances in the game's history.

Born in Bijeljina and raised in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kovač grew up playing early entries in the Counter-Strike franchise at an internet café owned by his parents alongside his cousin, Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač. He began his competitive path in Counter-Strike 1.6 in 2011 with FullProof, followed by stints on several regional rosters. Transitioning to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in 2012, he initially played for iNation while briefly rotating through other teams. His individual play at iNation raised his profile across Europe, leading to his recruitment by mousesports in March 2015.

While with mousesports, Kovač's standout performances brought widespread attention, including a championship at Acer Predator Masters Season 2 in 2016. In February 2017, he transferred to FaZe Clan. His initial year with the organization featured titles at StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3, ESL One: New York 2017, ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017, and Esports Championship Series Season 4, culminating in a second-place global ranking by HLTV. He remained with FaZe through late 2020, earning victories at tournaments including IEM Sydney 2018, ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018, EPICENTER 2018, and BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2019.

In October 2020, Kovač joined G2 Esports, reuniting with his cousin huNter-. Moving away from in-game leadership duties, his form helped propel G2 to grand finals at the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and IEM Katowice 2022 before securing the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 trophy. The roster achieved further success in 2023, claiming championships at IEM Katowice 2023 and IEM Cologne 2023, where Kovač earned an MVP award. In 2024, he secured victories at IEM Dallas, the BLAST Premier Fall Final, and the BLAST Premier World Final.

Kovač transferred to the Saudi organization Team Falcons in January 2025. During his first year with the team, he earned MVP honors at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 and won PGL Bucharest 2025. In 2026, after reuniting with in-game leader karrigan, Kovač captured his first Major title at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 by defeating FURIA in the grand finals. Across his career, he has earned ten HLTV Top 20 player selections and ten tournament MVP awards.
