Nikkie de Jager

Nikkie de Jager-Drossaers, known online as NikkieTutorials, is a Dutch makeup artist, model, and beauty YouTuber. Born on March 2, 1994, she achieved widespread online recognition in 2015 following the release of her YouTube video "The Power of Makeup." The production went viral and motivated numerous other creators to share video demonstrations showcasing their faces with and without cosmetics.

De Jager began posting YouTube content in 2008 at the age of 14, having been inspired by the makeup styled on the television show The Hills. After searching for online guides to recreate these looks, she began producing her own video tutorials. Following two years of uploading content, she pursued formal makeup training at the B Academy in Amsterdam. She joined Colourfool Agency in 2011 to work as a professional makeup artist, eventually becoming the lead makeup artist for the show I Can Make You a Supermodel in late 2013. She left the agency in early 2014 to operate as a freelance hair and makeup professional.

Throughout her career, De Jager has established several major industry partnerships. Forbes included her among the top ten beauty influencers in 2017. In January 2019, she was named the Global Beauty Adviser for Marc Jacobs Beauty, taking on responsibilities in product development and international content creation. In September 2021, after three years of development, she launched her own cosmetic brand, Nimya. Her brand debut included a moisturizer and primer hybrid, setting spray, glow serum, cooling ice stick, and a mini fan. She has also created product collaborations with cosmetics companies such as OFRA Cosmetics, Maybelline, and Beauty Bay, and promoted Lady Gaga's Haus Laboratories line in late 2019.

In addition to her online work, De Jager has appeared regularly on television. She competed in Dutch television shows including The Big Escape and Wie is de Mol?, ultimately winning a special 20th anniversary season of Wie is de Mol? in 2020. She has also served as a guest judge on Glow Up and Drag Race Holland. In 2020, she acted as live reporter for the broadcast Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light, and in 2021, she co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest, making her the first transgender individual to host the event. She was scheduled to serve as the Dutch jury spokesperson for the 2024 contest, but she withdrew from the role after the Dutch participant was disqualified.

In January 2020, De Jager publicly came out as transgender in a video titled "I'm Coming Out," explaining that she was responding to an attempted blackmail threat. She had originally started her transition as a teenager. Later that year, she became a United Nations goodwill ambassador. In August 2020, she and her partner Dylan Drossaers were subjected to an armed robbery at their residence in Uden, which led to a police investigation and subsequent arrests. De Jager and Drossaers were married in September 2022.
