Nadja Auermann

Nadja Auermann is a German supermodel and actress. She was born on March 19, 1971. At one point, she was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records for having the longest legs of any model in the world.

Her career in fashion began in 1989 when she was discovered in a cafe in Berlin, leading to a signing with the Karin Modeling Agency in Paris. In 1991, she joined Elite Model Management and subsequently appeared in Vogue Paris as well as in clothing advertisements for Benetton. Her career reached a notable highlight in September 1994, when she appeared on the covers of both Vogue and Harper's Bazaar simultaneously.

Over the course of her modeling career, Auermann walked the runway for prominent fashion houses such as Thierry Mugler, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, and Yves Saint Laurent. She also starred in advertising campaigns for major brands, including Prada, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, and Hermès. In the late 1990s, she served as the international spokesperson for the cosmetics company Shiseido.

Auermann has been featured on more than 100 magazine covers globally, including titles such as Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and i-D. Throughout her career, she collaborated with numerous notable photographers, including Helmut Newton, Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, Juergen Teller, and Peter Lindbergh, the latter of whom considered her his muse.

In her personal life, Auermann had her first child, a daughter named Cosima, in 1997 with Olaf Björn Tietz. She married German actor Wolfram Grandezka in 1999, and the couple had a son named Nicolas that same year before divorcing a few years later. Both Cosima and Nicolas have since pursued modeling. She later gave birth to her third and fourth children in 2010 and 2013.

Auermann spent time living in Dresden with her children and an unnamed partner, as revealed in a 2013 interview with the German press, and enjoys taking holidays in the Baltic coast spa town of Heiligendamm. In 2011, she was convicted of tax evasion by a German court and ordered to pay a fine of 90,000 EUR.
