Mariana Rios

Mariana Rios Botelho, born on July 4, 1985, is a Brazilian actress and singer-songwriter. She initially began singing at seven years old. To start her music career, she moved to Uberaba, where she performed in local bar bands, took part in music festivals, and was hired by a studio to record jingles.

At the age of 15, Rios relocated to Rio de Janeiro, where she later graduated from the Casa de Arte das Laranjeiras. Before landing her first major television role, she performed in two musical productions alongside Oswaldo Montenegro. She has lived on her own in Rio de Janeiro since turning 18 years old.

Rios achieved widespread public attention in 2008 when she joined the cast of the television series Malhação. She portrayed Yasmin, a 17-year-old character whose absent parents frequently bought her expensive gifts to compensate for their lack of presence. Following the popular reception of her character, Rios was featured on the cover of the August 2008 issue of Capricho magazine (edition 1051).

Continuing her television career, Rios joined the cast of the Rede Globo telenovela Araguaia in 2010, playing the character Nancy. Later projects include her casting as Elphaba in the 2015 Brazilian theatrical production of Wicked.

In her personal life, Rios has been in a relationship with Di Ferrero, the lead vocalist for the band NX Zero.
