Born in Bangkok, Thailand, on January 5, 1969, she was raised in an entertainment family. She is one of four daughters born to Winee Sontikool and the Thai actor Surin Charoenpura, who performed under the stage name Ruj Ronnapop. Her siblings include her half-sister, the actress Intira Charoenpura.

Charoenpura launched her musical career in 1989. Over the decades, she has put out numerous studio albums, featured in music videos, and headlined live concert events. In 2007, she delivered a performance in Manchester at a concert hosted by former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to mark his acquisition of the Manchester City Football Club.

Parallel to her singing career, Charoenpura began acting in Thai television programs and feature films during the 1980s. One of her most prominent screen portrayals is the character Pring in the television drama Khon Rerng Muang. She notably portrayed this role in two distinct television adaptations produced in 1988 and 2002.

She achieved international recognition for playing the antagonist Lady Srisudachan in Chatrichalerm Yukol's 2001 historical film, The Legend of Suriyothai, which subsequently received an American theatrical distribution in 2003. Her later projects include a role in the 2010 ensemble horror feature Die a Violent Death alongside actors Supaksorn Chaimongkol and Akara Amarttayakul. Following a break from screen acting, she returned to television in 2019 to portray the character Yoi in the Channel 3 drama series Krong Kam.
