Early Life and Modeling Beginnings

Born on October 15, 1990, in Dallas, Texas, to an American father and a Japanese mother of Korean descent, Mizuhara relocated to Kobe, Japan, at a young age. Her modeling career began at age 12 when she won a talent contest hosted by the Japanese teen magazine Seventeen, leading to a multi-year exclusive modeling contract. At age 16, she moved to Tokyo to pursue fashion modeling full-time, subsequently signing as an exclusive face for top publications like ViVi and MAQUIA.
