She gained significant momentum after releasing makeup tutorials showcasing everyday and evening looks using accessible cosmetic palettes. As her audience expanded rapidly, she introduced various popular video formats, including monthly favorites, product empties, unboxings, and candid sit-down Q&A sessions known as Kat Chats. She also created a secondary vlogging channel titled DaysOfOurLights to share behind-the-scenes moments from her daily life.

Brand Collaborations and Business Ventures

Her status as a trusted voice in cosmetics led to high-profile creative collaborations with major beauty brands. Over her career, Fuentes has partnered with companies such as ColourPop Cosmetics, OFRA Cosmetics, Morphe Brushes, Makeup Geek, and Briogeo to create signature lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, and hair care products. Building on her passion for beauty and self-expression, Fuentes co-founded her first nail polish brand, KL Polish, in 2016. Following the closure of KL Polish in early 2019, she launched a new vegan and cruelty-free nail lacquer venture called Lights Lacquer in November 2019. In addition, she expanded her entrepreneurial footprint by creating Lights Label, a lifestyle and apparel brand offering curated clothing, accessories, and home goods.
