Jirayu Tangsrisuk

Jirayu Tangsrisuk, also recognized by the names James Jirayu and James Ji, is a Thai actor, model, and singer. Born on September 19, 1993, he has established a prominent career in the Thai entertainment industry through his appearances in numerous television dramas and feature films.

Raised in Phichit, Thailand, Jirayu is the younger child of Sermchai Tangsrisuk and Shotika Tangsrisuk, who gave him his nickname after the character James Bond. During his youth, he developed skills in singing and dancing, and he played the bass guitar in a band while attending Phichit Phitthakhom School, where he was also enrolled in territorial defense training. He initially pursued higher education in radio and television broadcasting within the Communication Arts program at Rangsit University, before shifting his studies to Retail Business Management under the Business Administration program from 2013 to late 2017.

Jirayu began his professional journey in 2011 after winning a modeling competition hosted by the cosmetics company Mistine. His entry into mainstream entertainment occurred in April 2012 when talent manager Charnchalard Dhaweesap discovered his photos on Facebook. Despite receiving offers from several other talent agencies, Jirayu selected Dhaweesap's agency, Meta Talent Management, to oversee his career.

His acting debut came in 2013 with a role in the television drama Khun Chai Puttipat, followed by his initial film appearance in First Love later that same year. His early performances quickly established him as a highly compensated actor in Thailand. To prepare for the physically demanding drama Padiwaradda, also known as The Loyal Wife, he trained in martial arts at the Lien Phong Academy in Vietnam during late 2015.

Over the course of his career, Jirayu has starred in numerous notable television projects, including Suphapburut Juthathep, The One in My Heart, Fallen Angel, Underneath the Same Sky, Game of Affection, Repercussion, Mist of Love, and Prophecy of Love, as well as the 2014 film Timeline. He also featured in the 2019 drama series Krong Kam. His commercial success placed him among Thailand's top-earning actors, ranking third in 2017 and second in early 2018. In addition to his acting work, he expanded his artistic output into music, releasing his debut extended play titled See More in March 2021.
