Gabbie Hanna

Gabrielle Jeannette Hanna Kroner, born on February 7, 1991, is an American internet personality, singer-songwriter, and author. She first rose to public prominence through her creative videos on the online platforms Vine and YouTube. Throughout her career, she has released several musical projects, published poetry collections, and participated in various digital entertainment series.

Hanna was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, and has French, Polish, and Lebanese ancestry, self-identifying as Middle Eastern. She attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she was active in the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and graduated in 2013 with a degree in communications and psychology. After completing college, she worked for a marketing firm that sold products within Sam's Club, becoming the company's leading salesperson nationwide. She subsequently moved to Cleveland, Ohio, to help establish a new branch, but chose to leave the position after recognizing the business operated as a pyramid scheme.

In late 2013, Hanna began creating video skits on Vine, eventually reaching approximately five million followers on the platform. She established her main YouTube channel, originally titled The Gabbie Show, in 2014. To pursue digital content creation, she moved to Los Angeles, California, briefly working for media company BuzzFeed before departing to concentrate fully on her personal channels. In 2015, alongside partner Matt Steffanina, she won the fourth season of the online dance competition Dance Showdown.

Following Vine's closure in 2016, Hanna shifted her focus to YouTube and participated in the Drop the Mic lip sync tour. She signed with Creative Artists Agency, joined MTV's social media team, and co-hosted the revived broadcast of Total Request Live in October 2017. In addition, she joined the main cast of the web series Escape the Night, portraying a vaudevillian character in season two and a Hollywood star in season four. In late 2022, a rapid series of online posts by Hanna initiated broad public conversations concerning mental health. After taking breaks from social media, she returned to public platforms in 2024 with an apology video.

Hanna officially launched her music career in 2017 with her debut single "Out Loud." She released her inaugural extended play, 2WayMirror, in May 2019, which saw her reach fifth position on Billboard's Top Emerging Artists chart. Her second extended play, Bad Karma, arrived in May 2020. She later released two full-length studio albums in 2022: Trauma Queen in July and This Time Next Year in December, the latter reaching the fourteenth spot on the United States iTunes Chart following traction for its single "Haircut."

In addition to her digital and music endeavors, Hanna authored two poetry books, Adultolescence in 2017 and Dandelion in 2020, both becoming New York Times Best Sellers. She has publicly discussed living with ADHD, OCD, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. After taking a hiatus from public platforms beginning in early 2023, she discussed her mental health on a podcast, worked as a fitness instructor at a YMCA in her hometown of New Castle, and married Robbie Kroner on May 25, 2025.
