Fedez

Federico Leonardo Lucia, born on 15 October 1989 and known professionally as Fedez, is an Italian rapper, singer-songwriter, social media personality, and businessman. He has achieved widespread commercial success in Italy, securing five number-one studio albums, thirty-two top-ten singles—twelve of which reached number one—and over fifty Platinum certifications from the Federation of the Italian Music Industry.

Born in Milan, Fedez grew up in Buccinasco and Corsico before moving to Rozzano. He launched his music career in 2011 with the self-produced digital album Penisola che non c'è, created on a 500-euro budget and focused on social and political issues. Later that year, he signed with the Tanta Roba label to release a second free digital download, Il mio primo disco da venduto. In June 2012, he appeared on a revised version of 883's song "Jolly Blue" alongside Max Pezzali.

In 2013, Fedez released his major-label debut single, "Si scrive schiavitù si legge libertà," followed by his first studio album, Sig. Brainwash - L'arte di accontentare. Preceded by the top-ten duet "Cigno nero" with Francesca Michielin, the album debuted at number one in Italy and earned triple Platinum status. Following a promotional tour starting in Turin, Fedez joined the judging panel of the talent show X Factor in 2014 and released his chart-topping fourth album, Pop-Hoolista.

Fedez maintained a high profile through television projects and collaborations. In 2021, he placed second at the Sanremo Music Festival alongside Michielin with "Chiamami per nome," co-hosted LOL - Chi ride è fuori, topped the charts with the single "Mille," and released his sixth album, Disumano. He followed with collaborative summer hits "La dolce vita" in 2022 and "Disco Paradise" in 2023. He later participated in the Sanremo Music Festival 2025 with "Battito," finishing fourth, and entered the 2026 festival alongside Marco Masini performing "Male necessario."

In his personal life, Fedez married fashion entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni in 2018, with whom he has two children; the couple separated in 2024 and finalized their divorce in 2025. Healthwise, he underwent surgery in March 2022 at San Raffaele Hospital to remove a rare pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour. In 2024, legal proceedings regarding a club altercation in Milan involving a personal trainer were dismissed following an agreement.

Fedez has also engaged in activism and corporate endorsements. In 2020, he helped raise three million euros for Milan's San Raffaele hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. An advocate for LGBT rights, he publicly spoke in defense of the proposed Ddl Zan legislation during a 2021 concert. Over his career, he has endorsed major brands, including Puma, Samsung, Bershka, Intimissimi, Sisley, Swarovski, Yamamay, and Amazon.
