Fanum

Roberto Escanio, known professionally as Fanum, is an American Twitch streamer, YouTuber, and digital content creator. Born on August 22, 1997, in The Bronx, New York, he first gained recognition for his humorous real-life vlogs documenting his experiences in New York City. Over the course of his online career, Fanum expanded into livestreaming gaming content and casual conversational streams, building a massive social media following. He is widely recognized as a core member of the online content group Any Means Possible (AMP) alongside creators such as Kai Cenat and Agent 00.

Early Life and Online Beginnings

Raised in The Bronx by parents from the Dominican Republic, Fanum grew up in a bilingual household and developed an early interest in video creation. After graduating from Bronx Early College Academy, he briefly attended the New York City College of Technology before leaving to focus entirely on building his digital media career. He launched his main YouTube channel in 2017 and posted his initial vlogs in early 2019, sharing personal stories, local neighborhood culture, and food reviews from around New York City. His authentic comedic delivery and relatable city-centric videos helped him cultivate a dedicated fanbase.

Streaming Career and AMP Collective

Fanum began streaming on Twitch in late 2016, broadcasting gameplay from titles such as Grand Theft Auto V, Assetto Corsa, and NBA 2K, alongside popular Just Chatting streams. In 2020, he joined the content collective Any Means Possible (AMP), participating in collaborative challenge videos, group vlogs, and gaming events. His livestreams became famous for comedic moments, including popularizing the viral internet slang phrase Fanum tax, which refers jokingly to taking a portion of food from friends. His work on Twitch and YouTube earned him industry honors, including Best Roleplay Streamer at the Streamer Awards and Breakout Streamer of the Year at the Streamy Awards.

Personal Life and Online Presence

Based in New York, Fanum maintains a strong connection to his Dominican heritage and frequently incorporates Spanish and local Bronx slang into his broadcasts. Outside of his collaborative projects with AMP, he continues to host live broadcasts, gaming streams, and special video projects. He keeps his romantic life private, with no public relationships confirmed.
