Emily DiDonato

Emily DiDonato is an American model who began her modeling career at the age of 10. She is widely known for her extensive work with prominent global fashion, cosmetics, and fragrance brands, as well as her appearances in major fashion publications and events.

DiDonato was born in Goshen, New York, on February 24, 1991. She is of Italian, Irish, and Native American ancestry, with her great-grandparents having emigrated to the United States from Italy.

Her career expanded significantly after she signed with ReQuest Model Management in 2008. The following year, shortly after graduating from high school, she booked campaigns for Guess, Ralph Lauren's "Rugby" line, and Maybelline New York. She made her television commercial debut for Maybelline's "Color Sensational Lip Color" line alongside models Christy Turlington, Jessica White, and Julia Stegner. By August 2009, she began modeling for Victoria's Secret, and she appeared on her first magazine cover for the October 2009 issue of The Block. Prior to New York Fashion Week in 2009, Vogue Germany recognized her as a "top newcomer."

In 2010, DiDonato became the face of Giorgio Armani's Acqua Di Gioia fragrance. Images from this campaign were featured on the covers of L'Oréal's 2010 Annual and Financial Reports. She continued to secure major modeling projects, starring in a summer advertising campaign for Oysho in 2013 and making her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue that same year, with photos shot in Namibia.

Throughout her career, DiDonato has walked the runway for luxury fashion houses including Chanel, Balmain, Givenchy, rag+bone, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, and Giles Deacon. Additionally, she has appeared in advertising campaigns for brands such as Miu Miu, Oscar de la Renta, Calvin Klein, Trussardi, Just Cavalli, Missoni, Elie Tahari, Longchamp, Nicole Farhi, Aldo, Gap, and Juicy Couture.

In her personal life, DiDonato began dating Jake Gyllenhaal in 2013. She married financier Kyle Peterson on June 23, 2018. The couple has three children: a daughter born on November 23, 2021, a son born on April 27, 2023, and a second son born on May 29, 2026. DiDonato also shared in August 2024 that she had experienced a miscarriage at eight weeks earlier that year, before announcing her third pregnancy in December 2025.
