Bagby grew up in San Diego, California, where she developed an early passion for competitive sports, including soccer and cheerleading. In 2014, at the age of 13, she suffered a severe spinal injury during a cheerleading accident when a basket toss gone wrong resulted in broken vertebrae. The injury left her temporarily paralyzed for three months, with medical professionals cautioning that she might never walk again.
