Anna Nooshin

Anna Nikbakht Nooshin is an Iranian-born Dutch digital content creator, fashion influencer, author, and television presenter. Born in Tehran, Iran, she relocated to the Netherlands during her childhood and eventually established herself as one of the country's most influential media personalities. Through her work in blogging, television hosting, and commercial ventures, she has built a substantial presence across digital platforms focused on style, travel, and creative lifestyle content.

Early Life and Education

Nooshin was born on December 18, 1986, in Tehran, Iran. At age seven, she moved with her family to the Netherlands, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She went on to attend the University of Amsterdam, graduating cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Communication Science at age 22. Following her academic studies, she expanded her exposure to fashion and media through an internship with a fashion label in New York City.

Career and Media Work

In 2011, Nooshin co-founded NSMBL, an online lifestyle webzine that rapidly emerged as one of the premier digital fashion platforms in the Netherlands. Following the outlet's widespread success, she launched a self-titled YouTube channel in late 2014, regularly sharing personal vlogs, travel diaries, styling guides, and beauty advice. Her growing digital influence opened doors to mainstream broadcasting, leading to frequent appearances as a lifestyle contributor on RTL Boulevard. She subsequently expanded her television portfolio by serving as a jury member and host on the reality modeling series Holland's Next Top Model and participating as a contestant on Expeditie Robinson in 2016.

Business Ventures and Publishing

As an author, Nooshin released her debut autobiographical career guide On Top in 2015, which became a best-seller in the Netherlands. She followed its success with her second book, On Life, in 2016, and later published Je Moeder in 2024, reflecting on her experiences with motherhood. In addition to writing, she has spearheaded numerous brand collaborations, including custom fashion and jewelry lines. She also co-founded The Upside Down Amsterdam, an interactive experience venue and social media design space located in the Dutch capital.

Nooshin resides in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She is in a relationship with Dutch actor Thijs Boermans. The couple has a daughter named Nala, born in early 2024.
