Soul and pop powerhouse Teddy Swims is officially underway with his massive North American headlining run, dubbed The UGLY Tour. Bringing a heavily produced arena spectacle to major cities across the continent, the tour sees Swims performing hits like "Lose Control" and "The Door" in some of the largest venues of his career. The Georgia-born artist discussed how his home state continues to ground him during this extensive tour, which includes a homecoming show at Atlanta's State Farm Arena.
Swims, born Jaten Dimsdale, first gained widespread national attention by posting passionate cover videos on video-sharing platforms before releasing original chart-topping material. His signature single "Lose Control" became a massive radio and streaming hit, maintaining a long run on the Billboard Hot 100 and establishing him as a premier vocal force in modern pop and R&B. Following up on that breakthrough success, he released his debut full-length project I've Tried Everything But Therapy, followed by expanding tour legs across Europe and North America.
The current leg of The UGLY Tour features opening performances by special guests including St. Paul & The Broken Bones and MarcLo. Outside of his headlining tour dates, Swims has been collaborating with major figures across genres, recently appearing alongside DJ David Guetta and Tones And I on the hit track "Gone Gone Gone". He also delivered energetic performances at major festivals throughout the summer prior to launching his full fall arena itinerary.
Looking ahead, Swims will continue traversing the United States with dates planned through the end of the month before taking the stage internationally. Organizers have added secondary dates in major metropolitan markets to accommodate strong ticket sales, pointing toward a solid finish for his most ambitious live production to date.
