Grammy-winning superstar Bruno Mars has achieved another extraordinary chart milestone, setting an all-time Billboard record. His hit single "I Just Might" returned to the No. 1 spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart dated October 24, marking its 32nd total week at the summit. The milestone officially crowns "I Just Might" as the longest-running No. 1 single in the ranking's 68-year history, surpassing the previous record held by Kendrick Lamar and SZA's hit collaboration "Luther."

According to official tracking data from Luminate, the track earned 5.3 million streams and reached an impressive airplay audience of 51.9 million across domestic radio during the latest tracking frame. Released through Atlantic Records as the lead single from his studio album The Romantic, "I Just Might" initially debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 2026. Since its release, the track has maintained exceptional longevity across digital streaming and radio formats nationwide.

Mars has long been one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed pop and R&B artists of his generation. Throughout his career, he has logged ten No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, joining an elite group of legendary male solo artists that includes Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Drake. His solo work and collaborative projects—including his Silk Sonic duo with Anderson .Paak—have generated dozens of multi-platinum singles and multiple Grammy Awards for Album, Record, and Song of the Year.

The historic chart achievement reinforces Mars' position as a dominant force in contemporary popular music. Music analysts highlight how his signature blend of classic soul influences and modern pop production continues to capture broad radio audiences while competing strongly on global streaming platforms.

Following the record-breaking chart run, Mars continues to gear up for major live commitments. He is set to embark on an extensive stadium tour across Australia and New Zealand alongside rising global star Tyla, cementing what has already been a landmark year for the legendary performer.
