Yeri Mua

Yeri Cruz Varela, recognized professionally as Yeri Mua, is a Mexican digital creator, musical artist, songwriter, and entrepreneur. Born on December 17, 2001, she initially gained widespread attention starting in 2018 through her beauty and makeup live broadcasts across Facebook and Instagram. She subsequently broadened her career into the music industry as a reggaeton performer, releasing several high-profile singles and securing major record deals.

Raised in Veracruz, Mexico, Cruz Varela grew up alongside her brother, Joshua. Her parents, Silvio and Yahel—frequently known online as Papá Bratz and Mamá Bratz—are also content creators who host broadcasts on Facebook. Cruz Varela made her initial entry into social media at sixteen years old when she launched her official Instagram profile.

She first established her online presence on Facebook by sharing personal cosmetics routines and beauty tutorials. Her live streams went viral, eventually establishing her as the most recognized Spanish-speaking streamer on the platform. Expanding her reach to TikTok, she participated in trending dance challenges and created "Get Ready With Me" videos. In 2022, she and her former partner Brian Villegas were chosen as royalty at the Veracruz Carnival after gathering over two million votes. That same year, she hosted the Pink Carpet at the MTV MIAW Awards, followed by a presenter role on the MTV program La venganza de los ex VIP in 2023.

In May 2023, Cruz Varela launched a cosmetics collection in collaboration with Beauty Creations, making her the initial Mexican influencer to partner with the brand, with her products placed in major retail outlets like Sephora. Later that year, in August 2023, she launched her musical career with her debut reggaeton single "Chupón," which accumulated more than 95 million views on YouTube, followed by her second single "Con to'" in October 2023. In November 2023, she became the first Mexican influencer and musical artist to perform at Coca-Cola's Flow Fest, appearing in front of an audience exceeding 30,000 spectators.

In June 2024, she signed a recording deal with Sony Music Mexico to create her first album. Soon after, she competed on the television show ¿Quién es la máscara? performing as the character Tutupotama, where she reached the semifinal stage before being eliminated. Her debut studio record, titled "De Chava," was released on May 15, 2025, and was followed by a deluxe edition on July 3, 2025.

Throughout her public career, Cruz Varela has drawn significant media attention and generated public debate regarding her online statements and personal broadcasts. In March 2023, an Instagram post published for International Women's Day sparked widespread discussion. Later, in May 2025, her comments during an interview regarding a ritual involving an ex-partner received coverage across national news outlets in Mexico. Additionally, statements made during a livestream in July 2025 concerning her skin tone attracted further media coverage and online commentary.
