Noah Olivier Smith, known professionally as Yeat, is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer born on February 26, 2000. He is widely recognized for his experimental musical style, particularly his use of rage beats, Auto-Tune-infused vocals, synth-based arrangements, and unique lingo. He is also known for his unconventional fashion sense, often combining designer clothing with balaclavas, as well as his association with online trends and his signature incorporation of bell sounds into his tracks.

Smith was born in Irvine, California, to a Romanian mother and an American father of Mexican and British heritage. He spent his early childhood in Fullerton, California, before moving with his family to Portland, Oregon, where he attended Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego. His father is also a musician who releases music under the name Beast Clouds, and Smith has two younger brothers. After completing high school, Smith briefly lived in New York City before returning to the Greater Los Angeles area to pursue a music career.

Smith began creating music in 2015 under the name Lil Yeat before adopting his current moniker. In June 2018, he made his first public appearance as Yeat with the track "Brink" on the Elevator YouTube channel, followed by his debut mixtape, Deep Blue Strips, later that year. He achieved viral online success in mid-2021 through platforms such as TikTok, particularly following the release of his mixtape 4L and the EP Trendi. Shortly after, his song "Get Busy" attracted media and listener attention for its church bell sound effect and viral line.

Yeat released his debut studio album, Up 2 Me, in September 2021, featuring popular tracks such as "Money So Big" and "Get Busy." Following this release, he signed a joint venture with Field Trip Recordings, Listen to the Kids, Geffen Records, and Interscope Records. In 2022, he released his second studio album, 2 Alive, which debuted at number six on the Billboard 200, alongside the EP Lyfe and the promotional single "Rich Minion." In 2023, his third album, Afterlyfe, reached number four on the Billboard 200, and his feature on Drake's song "IDGAF" peaked atop the Billboard Global 200 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2024, Yeat released his fourth studio album, 2093, which incorporated futuristic electro elements and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, followed by his fifth studio album, Lyfestyle, which debuted at number one on the chart. His releases continued into 2025 and 2026 with his second EP, Dangerous Summer, reaching number nine, and his album ADL, which charted at number five to mark his seventh top-ten placement on the Billboard 200. Beyond music releases, Yeat made his runway debut at the Vetements SS26 show and engaged in various brand and media projects.
