Héctor & Tito released their first album in 1998 and became prominent reggaetón stars, releasing multiple successful albums and compilation features. The duo produced popular hits across Latin America and U.S. Spanish-language radio, including "Felina," "Baila Morena" featuring Glory, "Amor de Colegio" featuring Don Omar, and "No Le Temas a Él." They were the first reggaetón act to sell out a massive concert at the iconic Choliseo in Puerto Rico. Tito launched his solo career with the release of his debut album, Top of the Line. It featured hits such as "Caile," "Mía" featuring Daddy Yankee, and "Flow Natural" featuring Beenie Man and Deevani. The expanded edition, Top of the Line: El Internacional, featured "Siente El Boom (Remix)" with Randy, Jowell, and De La Ghetto, which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
In October 2007, Tito released his second solo album, It's My Time, which topped the U.S. Top Latin Albums chart and reached number 50 on the Billboard 200. His third solo album, El Patrón (2009), topped charts in Mexico and Venezuela, as well as the U.S. Top Latin Albums chart, while peaking at number ten on the U.S. Billboard 200. The record included the hit singles "El Amor" and "Under."
Tito's songwriting received major industry recognition when "El Amor," co-written with Joan Ortiz Espada, was named Latin Song of the Year at the 2010 ASCAP awards, followed by Tito receiving the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year award in 2011. In November 2012, he released his studio album Invicto, featuring the promotional single "Dame La Ola" and "Por Qué Les Mientes," a duet with Marc Anthony.
He followed this in November 2014 with his sixth studio album, Alta Jerarquía, promoting it with a concert at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico in March 2015. In 2020, Tito released the single "Mueve La Cintura" featuring Guru Randhawa and Pitbull.
