Thomas Petrou

Thomas Adrian Petrou is an American digital content creator and entrepreneur of Greek heritage. Born on September 2, 1998, he has built a significant online presence, particularly through his channels on TikTok and YouTube. He is widely recognized for co-founding The Hype House, a collective of digital influencers, as well as the Spanish-style Hollywood residence where the group members live and collaborate on social media content.

Petrou began his digital media career by launching his YouTube channel in 2015. In May 2019, he became affiliated with the online creator collective Team 10. However, his tenure with the organization was brief, ending in August 2019 when he announced he had been dismissed from the group without a specified reason.

Following his departure from Team 10, Petrou teamed up with fellow influencers Alex Warren, Kouvr Annon, Daisy Keech, and Chase Hudson to establish The Hype House. Seven months after leaving his former group, the co-founders launched this new creator collective in a shared residence located in Los Angeles. Over time, Petrou expanded his personal reach, growing his individual online following to over 1.87 million YouTube subscribers and 7.9 million TikTok followers by August 2022.

In addition to his internet presence, Petrou transitioned into television. He featured prominently alongside other group members in the unscripted reality series titled Hype House. The show, which documented the lives and dynamics of the online collective, made its official debut on Netflix on January 7, 2022.

Throughout his online career, Petrou has been involved in a few public disputes related to his creative projects. In March 2020, co-founder Daisy Keech exited the group, claiming exclusion from major group decisions, and subsequently pursued legal action against Petrou and Hudson. Later that May, Bryce Hall of the rival Sway House collective publicly accused Petrou of mismanaging personal funds and taking money from group members. When Petrou privately suggested resolving the issue on Hall's podcast, Hall shared a screenshot of the request, prompting Petrou to release additional message history to give further context to their exchange.

In his personal life, Petrou entered a relationship with social media personality and fellow Hype House member Mia Hayward in 2020.
