Tayshia Adams

Tayshia Adams is an American television personality, host, and digital content creator born on September 4, 1990. She initially achieved national prominence through her appearances across several iterations of reality television dating programs, notably serving as a contestant on season 23 of The Bachelor and season six of Bachelor in Paradise before taking over as the lead on season 16 of The Bachelorette. She subsequently co-hosted seasons 17 and 18 of the latter series.

Raised in Santa Ana, California, by her parents Desmond and Rosario Adams, she grew up in a biracial household of African-American and Mexican heritage alongside three siblings. Adams was active as a Girl Scout for twelve years and graduated from Rosary Academy in 2008. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in biology from Concordia University Irvine in 2012. During her early college years, she overcame physical injuries caused by separate vehicular accidents in 2008 and 2011, enduring years of recovery and physical therapy. Prior to her career in entertainment, she worked as a phlebotomist.

Adams made her television debut in 2019 on season 23 of The Bachelor, finishing among the final two contestants. Later that year, she joined the cast of Bachelor in Paradise season six. In late 2020, Adams succeeded Clare Crawley mid-season on season 16 of The Bachelorette, marking the first time the main lead was replaced during filming. Adams co-hosted the subsequent two seasons of the series alongside Kaitlyn Bristowe and accepted the award for Best Dating Show on behalf of the program at the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted in 2021. That same year, she hosted the podcasts Bachelor Happy Hour and Click Bait with Bachelor Nation.

Beyond dating programs, Adams expanded her media work into hosting, acting, and unscripted television. She guest co-hosted E! Daily Pop and hosted the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted ceremony in 2022, later co-hosting the Live From E!: Oscars After Party in 2023. She competed on game show The $100,000 Pyramid and Amazon Freevee's competition series The Goat. Adams made her acting debut in the political drama series The Girls on the Bus and was later named as a judge for the HGTV renovation series Bachelor Mansion Takeover.

Adams has also built a career as a commercial model, brand ambassador, and product designer. She has partnered with major brands such as Hyundai, Secret, Maybelline, Fabletics, and Asics. In 2021, she launched a apparel line with Amaryllis Apparel, followed by a line of hair accessories and tools created with Conair and Scünci for Walmart in 2022. She has been featured on the covers of magazines including Modeliste and Locale, as well as in pictorials for Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, and Women's Health.

In her philanthropic efforts, Adams works with World Vision to sponsor children in Kenya and Honduras, travel to support Ukrainian refugees, and design a promotional purse to fund relief efforts. She has also volunteered for Feeding America in New York City. Her personal interests include real estate, architecture, and interior design, and she completed her second New York City Marathon in 2024.
