Tai Verdes

Tyler James Colon, known professionally as Tai Verdes, is an American singer. He grew up in Southern California, where he learned to play the guitar, piano, and ukulele. He later attended Babson College and played on the school's basketball team while maintaining his interest in music, eventually dropping out of the institution.

Before achieving music success, Verdes auditioned for singing competition television shows including The Voice and American Idol, though he was not successful. He also appeared on television as a contestant on season six of the MTV dating series Are You the One?, which he won.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Verdes lived on a friend's couch and worked at a Verizon phone service store. While working there, he continued to pursue music and released his breakout debut single, "Stuck in the Middle," in June 2020. The song gained viral popularity on TikTok and accumulated millions of views across multiple streaming platforms. Following this initial success, he saw similar traction with subsequent singles such as "Sheesh!" and "Drugs."

In May 2021, Verdes released his debut full-length studio album, titled TV. The album featured the single "A-O-K," which reached number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and received 24.7 million radio plays.

Over the course of his career, Verdes signed a record deal with Arista Records, a label owned by Sony Music. In January 2022, he expanded his business ventures by signing a global publishing deal with Kobalt Music Group, selecting the company for its artist-friendly contract terms. Later that year, on September 16, 2022, he released his second studio album, HDTV.
