Stefanie Heinzmann

Stefanie Fabienne Heinzmann, born on 10 March 1989, is a Swiss pop singer and television personality. She gained widespread public attention in early 2008 after winning SSDSDSSWEMUGABRTLAD, a talent competition featured on Stefan Raab's late-night show TV total on the German ProSieben network. She has established herself as one of the best-selling Swiss recording artists to emerge in the late 2000s, known for her pop-soul and electro-pop sound as well as her appearances on television talent shows.

Heinzmann was born in Visp in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, to parents Berti and Albi Heinzmann-Martig. She attended the commercial school for athletes and artists at the Kollegium Brig and has an older brother, Claudio, who works as a music manager and singer-songwriter. Heinzmann began her musical career in 2005 as the lead vocalist for the local rock band Bigfisch. The group's debut single, "Chumm ins Wallis," achieved regional airplay success and was voted the biggest Valais hit of the year by radio station Radio Rottu Oberwallis in 2007.

In mid-2007, her brother encouraged her to participate in Raab's television talent contest. Heinzmann qualified for the final and won the show in January 2008 after performing her custom-selected single "My Man is a mean Man." The song reached number one on the Swiss Singles Chart and became a top-ten hit in Austria and Germany. Her debut album, Masterplan, was released in March 2008 and topped the chart in Switzerland, where it achieved platinum certification. She followed this success with her second album, Roots to Grow, in 2009, which reached the Swiss top five.

Heinzmann took a greater role in co-writing and conceptualizing her self-titled third album, Stefanie Heinzmann, released in 2012. It featured the successful single "Diggin' in the Dirt," which reached the top ten in Switzerland. In 2015, she released her fourth album, Chance of Rain, which incorporated electro-pop elements on tracks such as "Stranger in This World" and spawned the top-ten single "In the End." That same year, Heinzmann was awarded the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Swiss Act.

In 2018, Heinzmann collaborated with German DJ Alle Farben on the dance-pop single "Build a House." Her fifth studio album, All We Need Is Love, was released in March 2019 and became her second album to top the Swiss Albums Chart. Heinzmann subsequently released her sixth album, Labyrinth, in May 2021, and her seventh album, Circles, in October 2025. Parallel to her recording career, she has appeared as a judge or coach on television series such as The Voice of Switzerland, Popstars, The Masked Singer, and both the Swiss and German adaptations of Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert.

Throughout her career, Heinzmann has received numerous industry accolades, including the Prix Walo, the 1LIVE Krone, a Comet award, the Radio Regenbogen Award, the 2009 ECHO Award for Best Female Artist National Rock/Pop, and Swiss Music Awards including Best Female Act. Outside of her performing roles, she co-founded heinzmann-productions GmbH with her brother in May 2008, serving as the company's official CEO.
