Ramona Singer

Ramona Singer (née Mazur) is an American television personality, businesswoman, and author. She is best known for starring as an original cast member on the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of New York City, appearing in its first 13 seasons from 2008 to 2021.

Singer was born on November 18, 1956, in Rhinebeck, New York, to Bohdan and Veronika Mazur, and is the oldest of four children. She is of Ukrainian descent through her father and Hungarian descent through her mother. She studied marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, becoming the first female graduate of its four-year honors program.

After graduating from college, Singer entered a traineeship program at Macy's and later served as a buyer for the department store chain. She subsequently worked in sales management for fashion companies Calvin Klein and French Connection. In 1986, she established her own wholesale clothing business, RMS Fashions, Inc. She later co-founded the jewelry company True Faith Jewelry with her former husband, Mario Singer, in 2005.

Singer gained widespread recognition when she joined the main cast of The Real Housewives of New York City in 2008, remaining on the show through its thirteenth season in 2021. Following low ratings and behind-the-scenes tensions during the thirteenth season, Bravo decided to reboot the series with an entirely new cast. Singer later appeared in spin-off programming, starring in the first season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip on Peacock in November 2021, followed by its fourth season in December 2023. In February 2026, she was announced as a cast member for the upcoming E! reality series The Golden Life, set in Palm Beach, Florida.

In addition to her television work, Singer expanded into various commercial ventures. Between 2009 and 2010, she sold two jewelry collections on HSN. She launched the Tru Renewal skincare line in 2010, which was later relaunched as Ageless by Ramona in 2018. In 2011, she released Ramona Pinot Grigio, followed by a red wine partnership with Opicio Wines in 2012 to create Ramona Red: Sangiovese Merlot Blend. She also authored a memoir, Life on the Ramona Coaster, published by Post Hill Press in 2015.

In her personal life, Singer married Dr. Howard Sobel in 1987. She later married Mario Singer in 1992, with whom she shares a daughter named Avery. The couple renewed their vows in 2010 and divorced in 2016.
