She began wrestling at age seven and achieved state honors, placing first in judo in 2009 and cheerleading, alongside third-place finishes in judo in 2008 and wrestling. Inspired by fighter Gina Carano and her father Robert "Bob-O" Ostovich—a former professional fighter, trainer, and promoter—she began training at her family's gym, Jesus Is Lord, to continue competing in athletics after high school. Her brother Robby is also a professional fighter.

Between 2010 and 2013, Ostovich compiled a 6–0 amateur MMA record, winning the 808 Battle Ground bantamweight title along with Destiny flyweight and bantamweight championships. She made her professional debut in Hawaii in January 2014. In December 2014, she joined Invicta Fighting Championships, defeating Evva Johnson at Invicta FC 10. She achieved a 2–2 record with the promotion, which included a win over Ariel Beck and losses to Andrea Lee and Christine Ferea.

In August 2017, Ostovich competed on The Ultimate Fighter 26, defeating Melinda Fábián before losing to Barb Honchak in the quarterfinals. She made her official UFC debut on December 1, 2017, at The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, submitting Karine Gevorgyan in the first round. She subsequently lost her next bout against Montana De La Rosa in July 2018.

Ostovich faced Paige VanZant in January 2019, losing by submission. In 2020, she accepted an eight-month USADA suspension after testing positive for ostarine and GW1516 from a contaminated supplement. Following a TKO loss to Gina Mazany in November 2020, Ostovich was released by the UFC in December 2020.

In April 2021, Ostovich signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. She made her debut at BKFC 19 on July 23, 2021, defeating Paige VanZant by unanimous decision. Her performance in the bout earned her a Fight of the Night award.

Ostovich was involved in a domestic violence incident in Honolulu in November 2018, suffering a broken orbital bone from an assault by her then-husband, Arnold Berdon, who is also an MMA fighter. Berdon pleaded no contest to domestic assault and was sentenced to four years of probation in May 2019. Ostovich received full custody of their daughter following their divorce.
