Korda comes from a family of professional athletes. Her father, Petr Korda, won the 1998 Australian Open in tennis, her younger brother, Sebastian, is a professional tennis player, and her older sister, Jessica, is a professional golfer. Korda trained as an amateur at the IMG Academy in her hometown of Bradenton, Florida. She was also part of the victorious United States team at the 2015 Junior Solheim Cup.

Korda turned professional in 2016 on the Symetra Tour, winning her first professional event at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge. After earning her LPGA Tour card for 2017, she made her tour debut at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic. In October 2018, Korda secured her first LPGA Tour victory at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship, joining Jessica to become the third pair of sisters to win LPGA Tour events.

In 2019, Korda won the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open, completing a family sweep of Australian titles, and entered the top ten of the world rankings for the first time. Later that year, she made her Solheim Cup debut alongside Jessica, becoming the first sisters to compete as playing partners in the tournament's history. Korda also won her first Ladies European Tour event at the 2019 Lacoste Ladies Open de France and successfully defended her title at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship.

Her breakout season arrived in 2021 when she won four LPGA Tour titles, beginning with victories at the Gainbridge LPGA and Meijer LPGA Classic. At the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan, Korda won the gold medal, becoming the first American woman to win individual Olympic golf gold since 1900. She capped off 2021 with a win at the Pelican Women's Championship to finish the year as world number one.

Despite missing time in 2022 due to a blood clot in her arm, Korda returned to win the Aramco Team Series in Sotogrande and defended her title at the Pelican Women's Championship. In 2023, she signed sponsorship agreements with brands including TaylorMade, Nike, Delta Air Lines, and T-Mobile, while also winning an Aramco Team Series event near London.
