Minh Hang

Lê Ngọc Minh Hằng, born June 22, 1987, in Ho Chi Minh City, is a Vietnamese singer, actress, and model professionally known as Minh Hằng. Following her parents' divorce when she was thirteen years old, she lived in the Bình Thạnh district with her mother and younger brother, Lê Ngọc Minh Hải. Her music career began after she enrolled in a short-term vocal and dance training course at the Ho Chi Minh City Culture House of Youth.

At the age of sixteen, she entered the entertainment industry by forming the four-member girl group Pha Lê in 2003. During this period, she won first prize in her high school's Graceful Student competition and worked as a model for local magazines. She later joined another local girl group named Tiamo in 2004. Her acting career commenced when director Lam Le Dung cast her in the starring role of the film Gió Thiên Đường after she auditioned at the Culture House of Children of District 4. Following this role, she signed a two-year exclusive acting contract with Lasta Entertainment in 2005.

In 2007, she signed with Thiên Thi Entertainment to focus on music. She achieved major national recognition for her starring role as Phụng in the popular television drama Gọi Giấc Mơ Về (Calling The Dream), a role for which she gained nine kilograms and won the Favorite Actress of the Year honor at the 2008 HTV Awards. In 2008, she released her debut album, Một Vòng Trái Đất, which set sales records in the Vietnamese music industry. To support the album, she launched her first nationwide live show tour in October 2008 alongside guest performers.

Minh Hằng continued to expand her acting resume with roles in television series like Mộng Phù Du, Vì Đó Là em, and Cái Bóng Bên Chồng, as well as the 2009 Lunar New Year comedy film Giải Cứu Thần Chết. In 2009, she played the lead role of Minh Minh in director Vu Ngoc Dang's remake of the Korean drama Full House. She was named Favorite Actress of the Year at the HTV Awards in 2009, 2010, and 2011, and won a Mai Vang prize for Best Actress in 2015 for her role in Vừa Đi Vừa Khóc.

In 2011, she departed Thiên Thi Entertainment to launch a solo singing career. She subsequently released the albums Cô nàng đáng yêu in 2010, Giờ em đã biết in 2014, and Yolo – You only live once in 2015. Her extensive brand endorsement work led the public to dub her the Queen of Commercial. She also received the Singer of Prospect award at the Lan Song Xanh awards in 2011.

In addition to music and acting, she participated in several reality and competition shows. She won the third season of Dancing with the Star in 2013 with dancer Atanas Georgiev Malamov and served as a jury member for Dancing with the Star for Kid in 2015. In 2018, she worked as a coach on The Face Vietnam 2018 alongside Thanh Hang and Vo Hoang Yen, and produced her first feature film, titled Mùa Viết Tình Ca (Season of Love Songs).
