Joey Montana

Edgardo Antonio Miranda Beiró, professionally known as Joey Montana, is a Panamanian reggaeton singer born on May 3, 1981. He is best known for his hit single "Picky" and his collaboration with Sebastián Yatra, "Suena El Dembow". Montana holds the record as the Panamanian act with the most number-one songs in his home country.

Montana began his music career performing for five years with the group La Factoría before departing to pursue a solo career. Outside of his music work, he graduated as a physiotherapist in 2003. After composing a successful song in July 2004, he received recommendations to step forward as a solo artist.

He debuted his solo career with his first album, Sin Cadenas, featuring the Predikador-produced single "Que Dios Te Castigue", a collaboration with former Son by Four member Ángel López. In 2010, Montana released his second album, Flow Con Clase, which featured the national hit singles "La Melodía", "Tus Ojos No Me Ven", and a second track with Ángel López titled "No Lo Vuelvo a Hacer".

Montana released his third album, Único, in 2014. The title track achieved commercial success in both Panama and the United States, where it climbed to number 35 on the US Billboard Latin Airplay chart.

His breakthrough arrived in 2015 with the release of the song "Picky", which became a major success across Latin America and Spain. The song topped the charts in Mexico, where it earned a Diamond certification, and reached number two in Spain, earning a four-times Platinum certification. "Picky" also entered the top-twenty in Panama and on the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, leading to his signing with Universal Music Latin. Following this release, he served as a coach on the second season of La Voz Ecuador in 2016.

In September 2017, Montana teamed up with Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra on "Suena El Dembow". The track became Montana's first number-one hit in Panama and received two-times Platinum certifications in both Mexico and Spain. He subsequently achieved several additional chart-topping singles in Panama, including "Rosas o espinas", "Viral Pisadinha", "Ya no más", and "Desesperado (Voy a Tomar)".
