James Trevino

James Trevino is a Romanian content creator, creative photographer, and author widely recognized for his imaginative book art and literary displays. Born and raised in Romania, Trevino initially pursued legal studies before gaining online prominence for his visual concepts. By arranging hundreds of books into intricate geometric patterns, fictional character silhouettes, and cinematic scenes, he established himself as one of the most influential male creators within the bookstagram and BookTok communities. Beyond digital media, Trevino has expanded his creative career into fiction writing.

Early Life and Career

Born on May 25, 1994, in Romania, Trevino developed a passion for reading during his early teenage years after discovering fantasy fiction. He attended university in Romania, where he completed a law degree before choosing to pursue a career in visual arts and digital media. In 2016, Trevino began posting on social media, initially sharing simple book reviews and personal recommendations. His posts gradually transformed into elaborate thematic photos depicting pop culture references from franchises such as Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Marvel. The innovative concept earned him widespread media coverage and rapid growth in followers.

Content Strategy and Projects

Trevino is best known for creating large-scale floor installations constructed out of physical books from his extensive library. Positioning himself inside these overhead arrangements, he creates colorful scenes that merge humor, cosplay, and graphic artistry. A single concept often requires hours of sorting, layout design, and editing. In addition to his solo content, Trevino co-created community platforms such as BookTours360° and My Book Features to highlight other literary creators. Leveraging his success as a bookstagrammer, he also authored his debut young adult fantasy novel, Gravespell, scheduled for release in 2027.

Personal Life

Trevino remains based in Romania, where he produces his digital content and works on his literary projects. He maintains a lighthearted public persona and regularly engages with his followers through behind-the-scenes videos and reading lists. Outside of content creation, Trevino enjoys exploring historical subjects, watching fantasy and science fiction shows, and caring for his cat, Wanda. He maintains a close creative and personal partnership with fellow book artist Elizabeth Sagan.
