Hunter McGrady

Hunter McGrady is an American curve model, fashion personality, and body-positivity advocate who gained international recognition through her ground-breaking work with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. Renowned as one of the most prominent plus-size models in the fashion industry, she has worked continuously to promote size inclusivity, body confidence, and mental health awareness.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Born on May 4, 1993, in Los Angeles, California, Hunter Sienna McGrady grew up in a family tied to the entertainment industry, as the daughter of actor Michael McGrady and former model Brynja McGrady. She initially entered the fashion industry as a conventional straight-size model at age 15. However, struggling to maintain the restrictive physical standards set by early agencies, she transitioned to plus-size modeling at age 19 after signing with Wilhelmina Models, embracing a healthier and more authentic lifestyle.

Modeling Career

McGrady reached a major milestone in 2017 when she became the largest curve model—size 16 at the time—to be featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue after participating in their Swimsuit Model Search. Since her debut, she has appeared in multiple subsequent editions of the publication, including being named a cover star for the magazine's 60th Anniversary Legends Issue in 2024. Over the years, McGrady has walked in major events such as New York Fashion Week and modeled for leading brands including Lane Bryant, Bare Necessities, and Ashley Graham's Swimsuits For All.

Media and Brand Ventures

Beyond editorial modeling, McGrady has expanded her presence as an entrepreneur and media personality. She launched "All Worthy," an inclusive clothing collection with QVC featuring sizes ranging from XXS to 5X, aimed at making stylish fashion accessible to all body types. Alongside her sister Michaela McGrady, she co-hosts the popular podcast Model Citizen, where the duo discusses body positivity, motherhood, mental health, and industry experiences. She also serves as a mental health advocate and ambassador for organizations like the JED Foundation.

Personal Life

In June 2019, McGrady married advertising executive Brian Keys. The couple resides in California and has two children: a son named Hudson, born in 2021, and a daughter named Ava, born in 2023. McGrady frequently uses her social media platforms to share candid insights into motherhood, body acceptance, and family life.
