Farrah Abraham

Farrah Laurel Abraham is an American television personality and businesswoman. Born on May 31, 1991, in Omaha, Nebraska, and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she first gained public recognition after being cast in the MTV reality television series 16 and Pregnant in 2009. The show documented her pregnancy and the early months of motherhood following the death of her child's father, Derek Underwood, in a car accident. She gave birth to her daughter, Sophia Laurent Abraham, in February 2009.

Abraham attended Thomas Jefferson High School, where she participated in cheerleading. Her parents are Michael Abraham and Debra Danielsen, and she grew up alongside her half-sister, Ashley Danielsen. In 2011, she pursued higher education at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, earning an associate degree in culinary arts and management.

Following her debut on 16 and Pregnant, Abraham joined the spin-off series Teen Mom later in 2009. She appeared across four seasons until the show concluded in 2012, showcasing her early years as a parent and her relationship with her family. She later launched her own pasta sauce line, Mom & Me, and returned to the franchise in 2015 for the reboot series Teen Mom OG.

In August 2012, Abraham released her debut studio album, My Teenage Dream Ended, alongside a memoir of the same title, which became a New York Times bestseller. Over the following years, she expanded her career through various television appearances and media ventures. She appeared on Couples Therapy in 2014, participated in the sixteenth series of the British reality show Celebrity Big Brother in 2015, and joined Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars: Family Edition in 2017. She also released the single Blowin' in 2014.

During the mid-2010s, Abraham engaged in several business and media endeavors. In 2016, she opened a frozen yogurt shop called FroCo Fresh & Frozen, a children's boutique named after her daughter, and a furniture store titled Furnished by Farrah, all of which operated until 2018. Her work in adult entertainment led to an ultimatum from producers during the seventh season of Teen Mom OG in 2017, resulting in the termination of her contract with the show. She later appeared on the dating reality series Ex on the Beach in 2018.

Throughout her public career, Abraham has been involved in several legal matters and personal events. In 2018, she settled a lawsuit against MTV's parent company, Viacom, and later faced misdemeanor charges stemming from an incident at a Beverly Hills hotel. In 2022, she was involved in another security-related incident that resulted in probation and community service. In January 2026, Abraham entered local politics by filing paperwork to run in the Austin municipal elections for City Council District 5.
