Engfa Waraha

Engfa Waraha is a Thai beauty pageant titleholder, singer, and actress. Born on February 15, 1995, in Uthai Thani province, Thailand, she gained national recognition on the singing competition program The Voice Thailand before achieving success in pageantry as Miss Grand Thailand 2022 and first runner-up at Miss Grand International 2022. She subsequently expanded into acting, appearing in television series and films that earned industry accolades and sparked discourse around LGBTQ rights in Thailand.

Waraha grew up in a musical household with two siblings. Her father was a keyboard player, while her mother worked as a luk thung singer, performing Thai pop-country music. Waraha began performing on stage at age six. In 2013, she met Phonraphee Maneethai, a master of the Thai blessing ceremony, who led her to study as an officiant and practice Thai verse singing, or khab sepha, until proficient enough to use the skill professionally.

At age seventeen, Waraha signed a twelve-year contract with Sangravee Entertainment, a Bangkok artist management organization, to assist in funding her father's cancer treatment. Through this contract, she released two singles in 2015 and two in 2016. Before establishing her place in the national entertainment industry, she also worked as a waitress, greengrocer, food vendor, caddie, and model.

Performing under the name Engfa Sangravee, Waraha competed in the seventh season of The Voice Thailand in 2018, exiting the competition in the second phase. She later appeared on various Thai television shows, including the situational comedies Pen Tor and Raberd Terd Terng, alongside game show appearances on 123 Ranking Show, Still Standing Thailand, and Guess My Age.

Waraha began her pageantry involvement in 2020 with Miss Grand Suphanburi, but withdrew due to contractual issues. She later won Miss Grand Bangkok 2022 and proceeded to win Miss Grand Thailand 2022. On October 25, 2022, she represented Thailand at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia, placing as first runner-up.

Waraha made her acting debut in the 2023 television drama series Show Me Love. In 2024, she made her film debut in The Paradise of Thorns, which broke a 150 million baht box office record. Her performance won her Best Actress of the Year at the 2025 Thailand Box Office Awards and runner-up for Best Actress at the 14th Thai Film Director Awards. She also appeared as Kulap in Bangkok Blossom in 2024.

In May 2025, Waraha was recognized at the Women in Cinema Gala hosted by the Red Sea Film Festival Foundation at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. The event spotlighted seven women from Asia, Africa, and the Arab world, honoring Waraha for her roles in Show Me Love, Bangkok Blossom, and The Paradise of Thorns.
