Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger and attacking midfielder for Serie A club AC Milan and captains the United States men's national team. Widely regarded as one of the most prominent American soccer players of his generation, Pulisic earned the nickname "Captain America" for his leadership on the national squad and success in European club competitions.

Early Life and European Breakthrough

Born on September 18, 1998, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Pulisic was raised in an athletic family where both parents played collegiate soccer at George Mason University. He spent part of his youth living in England, playing briefly for Brackley Town, before returning to Pennsylvania to join the PA Classics academy. In 2015, he moved to Germany to join Borussia Dortmund's youth academy. Pulisic quickly advanced through the ranks, making his senior Bundesliga debut in January 2016. During his tenure at Dortmund, he helped win the DFB-Pokal in 2017 and became the youngest American to score in European competition.

Chelsea and AC Milan Success

In January 2019, Pulisic signed with Premier League club Chelsea for a transfer fee that made him the most expensive North American player at the time. Over four seasons in London, he made more than 140 appearances and contributed key goals during Chelsea's 2020–21 UEFA Champions League victory, becoming the first American player to feature in and win a Champions League final. In July 2023, Pulisic transferred to Italian club AC Milan, where he established himself as a primary attacking option in Serie A through his goal-scoring and playmaking abilities.

International Career and Off-Pitch Ventures

Pulisic debuted for the United States senior team in March 2016, becoming the youngest American to play in a World Cup qualifier. He led the national team to multiple Concacaf Nations League titles and starred in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, scoring crucial goals to advance the team to the knockout rounds.
