Born on July 26, 1966, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she is the daughter of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. She grew up alongside her brothers, Stephen Jones and Jerry Jones Jr., who also became executives for the football franchise. She attended Stanford University, graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology.
Her early career included working in politics as the chief of staff for U.S. Representative Tommy F. Robinson from 1989 to 1990. She stepped down from this position after Robinson entered the 1990 gubernatorial race in Arkansas, following her father's political endorsement of Robinson's opponent, Sheffield Nelson.
Transitioning into sports management, Anderson spearheaded major event hosting initiatives for the Dallas Cowboys, securing high-profile competitions for Cowboys Stadium such as Super Bowl XLV, the 2010 NBA All Star Game, the annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, and the 2014 Men's Final Four, where she served as chairperson. In her branding role, she orchestrated a retail partnership with Victoria's Secret to open the brand's first PINK venue located inside a professional sports facility.
