Angelina Kirsch

Angelina Kirsch is a German curve model, television presenter, author, and body-positivity advocate. Born on July 19, 1988, in Neumünster, Germany, she became one of Germany's most prominent plus-size models after being discovered in Rome in 2012. Known for encouraging self-love and body acceptance, Kirsch has built a successful career across fashion, television broadcasting, and lifestyle entrepreneurship.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Kirsch grew up in Neumünster alongside her twin sister. After completing her secondary education at the Holstenschule in 2008, she trained as a retail sales assistant and briefly studied business administration before pursuing musicology and empirical linguistics at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel. In 2012, while vacationing in Rome, she was scouted in an ice cream parlor by the head of Place Models, who was looking for a curvier model for a fashion campaign. Kirsch embraced the opportunity and quickly established a prominent role in the body-positive modeling movement.

Modeling and Television Success

Throughout her modeling career, Kirsch has represented major retail brands, including H&M, Zalando, C&A, bonprix, Adler, and Ulla Popken. She has walked runways at fashion events in Milan, Madrid, and Berlin, challenging conventional body standards in the fashion industry. Kirsch gained mainstream television popularity between 2016 and 2018 as a judge on the RTL II modeling competition show Curvy Supermodel – Echt. Schön. Kurvig. In 2017, she reached the finals and finished in third place on the German dance competition show Let's Dance. She later expanded her television work into hosting, becoming the presenter of the Sat.1 culinary competition show The Taste in 2020, as well as hosting Wer kann, der kann! on Netflix.

Entrepreneurship and Personal Life

In addition to modeling and hosting, Kirsch is an author and fashion designer. She published her debut book Rock your Curves! in 2018, followed by Rock your Mind in 2019, sharing messages of self-confidence and self-acceptance. She also launched her own clothing line, Rock Your Curves by Angelina Kirsch, catering to curvier silhouettes. Kirsch resides in Neumünster, Germany, and married her long-time partner, Daniel, in December 2025 during a winter ceremony on the island of Sylt.
