Anetra

Isaiah Padua, professionally known by the stage name Anetra, is an American drag performer and dancer based in Las Vegas, Nevada. She achieved national recognition as a contestant on the fifteenth season of the reality competition series RuPaul's Drag Race, where she finished as the runner-up. Known for integrating physical athleticism and martial arts into her drag routines, she established a distinctive presence during her tenure on television.

Padua was raised with a multicultural background that includes Filipino, German, Japanese, and Puerto Rican heritage. She attended Desert Oasis High School. Starting at seven years of age, Padua trained as a competitive taekwondo fighter. She has credited her long-standing involvement in martial arts with helping her embrace and draw strength from her Asian ancestry.

During her youth, Padua experienced personal upheaval when her mother discovered her drag practice and forced her out of the home, resulting in a sudden estrangement from her siblings. Her father took her in, offering support and stability. During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, Padua and her father bonded by watching RuPaul's Drag Race together, becoming particularly fond of contestant Rock M. Sakura.

Anetra entered the broader drag circuit upon joining the fifteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. In the season's premiere talent show challenge, she earned a victory by debuting an original song—created after consuming an edible—alongside a routine that featured duck-walking and taekwondo maneuvers. The performance became the most-watched cross-platform video published to the show's social media accounts, accumulating more than 13.1 million views across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and Twitter. The viral moment led to significant online growth, gaining her over 500,000 Instagram followers while the season aired, while drawing praise from media outlets and public figures such as Lizzo.

Over the course of the competition, Anetra secured three challenge wins. Besides the talent show, she won the musical challenge playing Mama Bacon in "Wigloose: The Rusical!" as well as the makeover challenge. She also participated in several lip-sync battles, including a marathon episode featuring music by Fifth Harmony, Vanessa Williams, and CeCe Peniston. A bottom-two performance against Marcia Marcia Marcia to Doja Cat's "Boss Bitch"—which featured Anetra executing a dive over her competitor into a somersault—became the season's first lip sync to surpass one million views on YouTube.

Anetra advanced to the final two of the season before finishing as runner-up to Sasha Colby. Following her success on the series, she received civic recognition in her hometown. In June 2023, she was presented with the key to the city of Las Vegas, and June 22 was officially proclaimed "Anetra Day" in the city.
