Allison Jayne

Allison Jayne Lurie, born December 4, 1987, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who performed under the stage name Fan 3 (stylized as fan_3). She began her musical journey at age 13 by recording songs in her home studio. One of these early tracks, "What They Gonna Think," was selected for the Lizzie McGuire soundtrack, leading to her being signed by Geffen Records.

Throughout 2004 and 2005, Fan 3 released several individual songs and worked on soundtrack projects. Her track "Digits" appeared on the soundtrack for the film Shark Tale, and she recorded the song "Boom" for the movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. In December 2004, her Christmas song "I Love Christmas" was featured on Radio Disney's Jingle Jams album, and she subsequently performed alongside Aaron Carter on the Radio Disney Jingle Jams tour.

In 2005, Fan 3 achieved modest chart success with her single "Geek Love," which reached number 68 on the Billboard Hot Single Sales chart and was included on a Radio Disney compilation album. Beyond her recording work, she expanded into television by appearing as herself in an episode of Darcy's Wild Life, for which she also recorded the theme song, and in an episode of Romeo! titled "Rap-Off."

Despite compiling a sampler in late 2004 for a planned full-length debut album tentatively titled Let Me Clear My Throat, slated for release on March 19, 2005, the project was never released. Fan 3 was dropped from her label prior to the scheduled date and never released a full-length album.

In 2008, Lurie co-founded the pop/rock group Shut Up Stella alongside Jessie Malakouti and Kristen Wagner. She departed the group after they were dropped by their record label. That same year, she provided vocals for the song "Don't Drop a Bomb" on Kay Hanley's second solo album, Weaponize. In 2010, she announced she was working on new material and began releasing covers and original tracks under her given name, Allison Jayne, across platforms such as MySpace, YouTube, and Vimeo.

Lurie's musical influences include TLC, Destiny's Child, and Alanis Morissette, and her stage name Fan 3 was inspired by her preference for three-person groups. Her music has drawn comparisons to artists like Luscious Jackson, The Beastie Boys, and Fannypack. On a personal level, she graduated from Calabasas High School, wrote the song "Broken Home" regarding her parents' childhood divorce, and publicly came out as bisexual in 2009.
