The milestone occasion featured an intimate acoustic performance alongside an in-depth conversation moderated by Oscar-winning filmmaker Cameron Crowe inside the museum's Clive Davis Theater.
Designed to provide fans with an immersive look into her artistic methodology, the installation meticulously recreates the tactile visual world of her music video for "the cure." Production designer Liam Moore and a dedicated team spent hundreds of hours constructing detailed set pieces entirely out of hand-painted cardboard, including a retro hospital ward, a turntable display showcasing her custom nurse costume, and an interactive animatronic heart that beats when activated by visitors.
During the opening night Q&A session, Rodrigo reflected on the profound personal significance of returning to the institution as a featured artist. She shared with the audience that as a 13-year-old growing up in Southern California, she frequently visited the Grammy Museum with her mother to draw creative inspiration from past musical icons, making the debut of her own dedicated exhibit a surreal full-circle moment in her career.
