Multi-platinum singer-songwriter John Legend officially released his 11th studio album, Muse, on October 23, 2026, via Republic Records. Produced entirely by 14-time Grammy Award winner Pharrell Williams, the 16-track collection represents a creative collaboration over twenty years in the making. Alongside the digital and physical release, Legend unveiled the official music video for the featured single Bodies On The Floor, which features hip-hop duo Clipse.
Recorded primarily at Williams' creative studio inside the Louis Vuitton headquarters in Paris, Muse blends lush orchestral strings and gospel harmonies with modern rhythm programming. The album includes guest performances by Williams and Clipse, showcasing a dynamic vocal range that departs from Legend's traditional piano-ballad template in favor of expansive soul and doo-wop arrangements.
Legend holds the rare distinction of being an EGOT winner—having earned an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award across his career. He broke into mainstream music with his critically acclaimed 2004 debut album Get Lifted, which spawned the hit single Ordinary People. Over the past two decades, Legend has released chart-topping anthems like All of Me, served as a coach on NBC's vocal competition show The Voice, and produced award-winning film and theater projects through his Get Lifted Film Co. label.
To mark the release of Muse, Legend kicked off a series of album-signing events and promotional pop-up appearances in New York, engaging directly with fans and music industry peers.
Legend plans to announce a supporting global concert tour in early 2027, bringing his new material to live audiences alongside his classic catalog of soulful hits.
