Emmy-nominated actor Pedro Pascal joined co-star Robert Downey Jr. for a viral Halloween identity swap on October 31, 2026, poking fun at their upcoming onscreen rivalry in Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday. In social media videos published on Halloween night, Pascal wore the metallic mask, green cape, and MIT jersey associated with Doctor Doom, while Downey donned the blue suit of Fantastic Four leader Reed Richards. The pair were subsequently spotted walking arm-in-arm through Los Angeles while greeting trick-or-treaters.
The playful video captured Pascal dramatically removing the metal Doctor Doom mask to reveal the switcheroo before taking a lap around Los Angeles alongside Downey. Online fandoms instantly celebrated the lighthearted moment between the two Hollywood heavyweights, who have built a close off-screen friendship while filming the upcoming superhero tentpole.
Pascal's career has seen an extraordinary rise over the past decade, transforming him into one of modern entertainment's most sought-after leading men. After breakout roles in Game of Thrones and Narcos, he captured worldwide acclaim as Din Djarin in Disney+'s The Mandalorian and Joel Miller in HBO's adaptation of The Last of Us, earning multiple Emmy nominations. He formally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as super-genius Reed Richards in 2025's The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
In addition to his Marvel commitments, Pascal recently starred in Ridley Scott's historical epic Gladiator II and has wrapped production on upcoming feature projects alongside leading auteur directors. His collaboration with Downey in Avengers: Doomsday places his character at the core of Marvel Phase Six's climax.
Pascal will soon enter full promotional mode for Avengers: Doomsday ahead of its theatrical release on December 18, 2026. He is also slated to begin production on the highly anticipated third season of The Last of Us early next year.
