Acclaimed British star Daisy Edgar-Jones turned heads on October 7, 2026, attending the Los Angeles premiere of her high-profile film adaptation, "Sense and Sensibility," held at The United Theater. The red-carpet appearance marked a major highlight in the global promotional tour for the upcoming Focus Features period drama.

Styling her look for the Hollywood event, the 28-year-old actress opted for a vintage Chloé Spring/Summer 1999 corset gown designed during Karl Lagerfeld's historic tenure at the French fashion house. The archival dress featured delicate ivory bodice embroidery paired with a fluid petrol-blue satin skirt, striking a balance between late-18th-century period elegance and 1990s runway fashion.

Collaborating closely with her wardrobe stylist Dani Michelle, Edgar-Jones curated a press-tour wardrobe that honored the literary origins of Jane Austen's story while incorporating contemporary design. Her promotional stops across Europe, Australia, and North America featured high-fashion tailored pieces from Alexander McQueen, Schiaparelli, Miu Miu, and Giorgio Armani, earning widespread acclaim from fashion critics.

In the new feature film adaptation, Edgar-Jones takes on the central role of Elinor Dashwood, starring opposite Esmé Creed-Miles, who portrays her passionate sister Marianne Dashwood. The film offers a fresh perspective on Austen’s classic 1811 novel, exploring the contrasting temperaments of two sisters navigating romantic hardship and financial uncertainty in Regency-era England.

Edgar-Jones first rose to widespread international prominence with her critically acclaimed performance as Marianne Sheridan in the 2020 television adaptation Normal People, which earned her Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations. She subsequently solidified her leading-lady status with major roles in the box-office hit Where the Crawdads Sing, the mystery drama Under the Banner of Heaven, and the 2024 action thriller Twisters.

The Los Angeles premiere caps off a whirlwind international promotional campaign ahead of the film's official wide theatrical release on October 16, 2026. The project represents another significant milestone in Edgar-Jones's career as she continues to cement her position among cinema's most versatile young actors.
